Mistborn: Final Empire Trilogy -Brandon Sanderson

I was blow away by how marvelous these book were. I recommend them to my friends and family all the time because I had such a trill to read them the first time and I am confidant that I will reread over again.
These were the first book created and written that I had read of Sanderson, for I have read all of the Wheel of Time by Robert Jordan(review to come later) including the ones that Sanderson completed upon Jordan's death. The world is one of fiction/fantasy unlike any other I have come across. The magic system is unique, beautifully explained, and cohesive allowing you to vividly imagine the scenes in your head. The characters are phenomenal! They have distinct personalities that grow with you over the course of the series. He creates characters that transcends their own lives and are able to influence others around them inspiring both a change in though and action in the lives of many.
Sanderson understands the power of one individual as well as the power systems that exist within a world. He allows you see witness how these separate powers can come together fight against overwhelming odds.
Each book is a story in itself but also connected to the other book in the trilogy, which give the reader the feel of victory that comes with the ending of each book.
I was impressed with how Sanderson relays the information of the society and its history throughout this series, it allows the characters and the reader to evolve together both with their knowledge and understand and it all comes together with an astonishing synchronism that I was unable to predict.
Whether its 5 out of 5 starts or 10 out of 10 stars. Mistborn series receives a full recommendation in my view so move Mistborn to the number one slot in your Next To Read List!

The Grisha Trilogy -Leigh Bardugo

So, I just finished reading the Grisha Trilogy, and I was impressed at how from book one. "Smoke and Bone" I was drawn in this world. I picked up this first one at midnight and I couldn't put it down until I had finished. The romance had my heart leaping for joy and also crying with sorrow as the story and the characters progressed. This magical world was new and exciting with a enough twists to keep you reading and thinking about it when life makes you adult for awhile. It is beautifully concluded with a unique ending that gave a sad peace to my heart.
As you can probably tell, I grow and suffer with the characters of the books that I read and these characters were real and sincere that they became my friends by the end and I was sad to see it over.
